Abstract
The research deals with the history of one of the Native American tribes that settled in the northwest of the American continent and represented part of the civilization and heritage of that region in which it rose around the seventeenth century, and it lived in an unstable environment as a result of the climatic conditions that surrounded it, but despite that it adapted in managing its affairs, the Shoshoni tribe practiced the horse trade with the help of the Spanish colonialists, and this means that it was bought by equestrian, and that trade helped it improve its living conditions expanded and its alliances with other Native American tribes, but it soon lost the horse trade over time because most of its enemies own many horses, whether through a Shoshoni tribe or from others, in addition to the difficulty of obtaining weapons and guns that were owned by their rivals from other tribes, so through this research we will try to identify some of the economic and social aspects of the Shoshoni tribe.
