Abstract
Ambiguity in poetry is a departure from the familiar from linguistic rules to what is not familiar from them. And poetry must be ambiguous. when its ambiguity is indicative of art and creativity. Abu Tammam has always been the orbit of critics. old and new. for some of them applaud his poetry. and others disapprove of it. and some of them see it as ambiguous. Therefor. Psychological reading was one of the critical readings that aimed at reading the literary text. Especially what was ambiguous to search for the causes of ambiguity
