Abstract
Archaeological resources sites are considered one of the important national that cannot be replaced. Al-Muthanna Governorate owns (292) archaeological sites, including those dating back to different historical eras, Therefore, this research sought in its main objective to reveal the nature of the spatial distribution of these sites using some tools of spatial analysis in geographic information systems (GIS), and for the purpose of achieving this, the scientific necessity required dividing it into three sections preceded by an introduction. While the second topic was concerned with the spatial distribution of archaeological sites in Al-Muthanna Governorate, while the third topic dealt with analyzing the spatial distribution of archaeological sites in Al-Muthanna Governorate and ways to develop them, depending on the theoretical average center, the actual average center, standard distance, distribution direction, neighborhood link and density analysis Kernel, and it was found that its distribution The grouping pattern takes a direction from the northwest to the southeast, and the research concluded with a set of conclusions and recommendations.
