Abstract
This research aims at showing strategies of cohesion and its role in the textual cohesion in verses of monotheism in the Holy Qur’an, and this research attempts to study two important phenomena: sense relations and the science of appropriateness. Sense relations study the text in accordance with a new linguistic vision and apply it to Qur’anc texts according to most prominent relations in the current study such as (cause and similar, question-answer relations, addition relation, and dialog relation). as far as the second phenomenon is concerned (science of appropriateness) seeks for vocabularies, which connect verses. The study concludes the most important issues of such a science and its effect on text cohesion.
