Abstract
Livestock in Iraq was considered one of the most important pillars of the national wealth, as it generated huge profits for its farmers, and Iraq was the main source of supplying the Arab countries and some eastern countries with live animals and other products, and that a large part of the products such as: wool, leather and intestines were exported outside Iraq, and the duration of the history of veterinary medicine in Iraq was seven decades, starting from 1921 to 1990, which is an important period in the history of modern Iraq in terms of political, social and economic terms.
