Abstract
The research aims to know the spatial distribution of the natural reserves in the Governorate of Muthanna, and to present strategies for their investment in a way that ensures the development of eco-tourism in the Governorate. Natural reserves distributed in the governorate, including the Zahra Depression Reserve, Hadaniah Reserve, Wadi Al-Dabaa Reserve, West Sawa Reserve, Al-Rifai Reserve and Shawi Reserve. The reserves also possess a great diversity of plant and animal life, which is an important factor in the establishment of eco-tourism, as well as the presence of several obstacles facing the establishment of tourism. Environmental issues in the governorate, for example, the lack and irregularity of land transportation routes, in addition to the poor performance of the tourism media.
