Abstract
Cities are secrets, symbols, beliefs and history that point to a civilizational and cultural folklore that is shaped throughout its history through religious monuments and urban buildings, including religious architecture and the sacred shrine, including the tomb of the two Imams al-Kadhimin (peace be upon them both)The importance of the study is to explore religious architecture, read it artistically, learn about its environment, and see the imagination that the artist and society carry about the surrounding places. Any approach to reading religious architecture technically requires identifying the secrets of its aesthetic contents and then the functional and performance nature of meanings that are evident in their symbolic and artistic field.. This research provides an artistic reading of the religious architecture of the shrine of the two Imams, peace be upon them, as a model and follows up on the references that are based on the artist’s awareness and analytical capacity.
