Abstract
Iraq, after its occupation by the United States, underwent several transformations that negatively affected the political, economic and social reality of the state. This is not evidenced by the raging conflict between political parties and entities for the sake of their narrow interests at the expense of the people, not to mention the role of that conflict in weakening the entity of the state and making it unable to perform its internal and external functions, in addition to the weak economic structure of the state and the fragility of the social contract in it, in addition to the failure of government policies to achieve human development in general and political development in the country in particular, and accordingly this research came to reveal indicators of political development in Iraq and clarify its obstacles as well as providing solutions It has the effect of reforming the structure of the political system in the country through proper political upbringing and strengthening of patriotism, not to mention enabling citizens to participate in the decision-making environment, directly or indirectly.
