Abstract
Hazardous medical waste resulting from departments, centers, and scientific and medical research laboratories of health care, curative, diagnostic and preventive, is considered one of the sensitive and important issues for all hospital departments and government and private health centers in most countries of the world. It is necessary to follow an ideal environmental management system that plays an important role in dealing with hazardous waste in terms of managing the processes of separation or sorting, collection, transportation and temporary storage of such waste, and the creation of the Department of Environmental Protection in it, and giving full powers under the environmental regulations and laws in force in dealing with such wastes.
