Abstract
International relations, especially the relations of the countries of geographically neighboring countries, constitute an important basis for the growth and development of international relations in all fields, as the Russian-Iranian relations went through different conditions of conflict and cooperation according to each historical stage, and the nature of the political decision-makers in the two countries, as the Russian-Iranian relations passed through bilateral relations as well. . In addition, I witnessed several variables represented in the Iranian Islamic Revolution in 1979, the regime change from a monarchy to a republic, the rise of the Iran-Iraq War in 1980-1988, and the collapse of the former Soviet Union in 1991. And the emergence of the Russian Federation, where these events contributed to affecting the nature of relations. Between the two countries towards balanced relations in cooperation at the political, economic and military levels
