Abstract
The research aims to apply some quantitative laws and measures by choosing a number of indicators to find out the imbalance in the imbalance of the volumetric arrangement (hierarchical) of the urban system in the province of Dhi Qar, where the centers of the urban system were arranged in descending order and distributed into volumetric ranks, it became clear that there was no arrangement Hierarchically and volumetrically, arranged and clear over the approved temporal dimension, which led to the emergence of the so-called dominant city, which is the center of Nasiriyah. Because of its administrative function and the basic aspect that other jobs have led to, which made it attractive to residents. The research showed that there are significant changes in the class arrangement of the urban system of the cities of Dhi Qar governorate in terms of volumetric growth and their arrangement, negatively and positively. (Nasiriyah, Shatra, Souk Al-Shuyoukh), with the dominance of the city of Nasiriyah over the rest of the centers, as it was found that the rule of rank and size does not apply to the urban system in Dhi Qar, and for the purpose of achieving the feasibility of the research, the population distribution and the future direction of the year 2029 were verified, and the research ended with a set of conclusions and proposals.
