تأثير الرياح على ظاهرة الغبار في محافظة ذي قار
Abstract
The research aims to clarify the role of wind in the repetition of dust phenomena (dust storms, rising dust, suspended dust) and it was found that dust phenomena are closely related in their relationship with wind speed, as dust storms increase with increasing wind speed, and this is what was evident in the study area, where the highest wind speed was reached In the spring and summer seasons, the months of June and July recorded an average of (5.1 m / s) for each of them, which was accompanied by the highest rate of frequency of dust storms, as the same two months recorded rates of (2.8 and 2.5 days) respectively, and through the application of the Pearson equation and the simple regression analysis it became clear direct correlation rate of (0.7) and an interpretation coefficient of (49). As for the suspended dust, it is the phenomenon that occurs after the collapse of the dust storm where very small dust particles remain suspended in the air for a period of time, and the highest rate of recurrence of this phenomenon has reached in a month July, which is (16.8), and the relationship between them was moderate and positive, with a correlation coefficient of (0.5) and an interpretation coefficient of (25).
