Abstract
This research is an attempt to study the position of Islamic thought in the Islamic eras regarding the issue of the plights of the prophets with reference to its cognitive dimension. The researcher tries to commence the prologue for the study by authenticating to the principal conceptions in the current research paper: plight, cognition, Islamic cognitive dimension, then enacting to analyze the Islamic recital: historical and interpretive so as to arrive at intentions of the paper in three sections: the first section discusses the cognitive dimension of the plight of the Prophet of God Ibrahim with the case of the slaughter of his son Ismail, peace be upon them, and the plight of the Prophet Moses with the case of his meeting with al-Khidr, peace be upon them, and the second section deals with the cognitive dimension of the plight of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) with the incident of his marriage From Mrs. Zainab bint Jahsh. As for the third and final section, it is devoted to try to display the manifestations of traditional issues in the Islamic thought in the recitals related to the plights of the three prophets.
