Abstract
Young people are the first and primary pillar on which Iraqi society depends on the axis of development and progress, welfare, stability and building the future, but the spread of drug abuse and addiction among them is a major reason for the collapse of manpower. Recently, a dangerous social phenomenon has spread, namely, trading, abuse and selling of drugs among the Iraqi youth, for reasons including social, economic and psychological, after Iraq was a passageway for the passage of narcotic substances, and it is now consumed by them, despite its harmful and destructive effects in every cell of the human body, as well On the destruction of his mind, cognitive powers, and his abilities in understanding and awareness, his psychological, mental and behavioral diseases, the collapse and disintegration of his family and his future 'and the loss of his identity and dignity and his inability to work and produce, and laws and amendments to drug control have been issued, including a law No. This social phenomenon needs to combine local efforts to tackle drug abuse and addiction among young people.
