Abstract

The current research aims to know the extent to which the book of physics includes the sixth grade of applied science for thinking skills in technology. The researcher followed the curriculum as a content analysis as one of the descriptive approach methods, and adopted the frank idea as a unit of registration, and we built a content analysis tool for that goal, it was presented to a group of arbitrators and specialists to ensure its sincerity and thus in its final form of (5) main skills that included (27) skills Sub-pages, the number of analyzed pages reached (284) pages, and after completing the analysis and verifying its validity and reliability using the Cooper equation, in addition to Using iterations and percentages of statistical treatments, it was concluded that the skill of solving problems came first and by a percentage of (28%), followed by the skill level of analysis with a percentage of (25%), and the skill of design came at the third level (19%), then the skill of evaluation and decision-making at the fourth rank with a percentage of (16%), while the skill of control and control came in the last place with a percentage of (12%), And thus the physics textbook for the sixth grade applied science has achieved (13) sub-skill out of (27) skill while neglecting (14), and by (48%), which is a weak percentage if compared to the spoken percentage adopted by the researcher based on the opinions of the arbitrators And specialists, which is (70%), and this indicates the book’s poor interest in thinking skills in technology.
