Abstract
The Kingdom of Bhutan, or Druk Yul, which means “the land of the dragon”, as the Bhutanese call it, is a landlocked country located in the south of the Asian continent at the eastern tip of the Himalayas between two great economic powers, the Republic of India and the People’s Republic of China. Its economy is small, and it is largely dependent on the export of hydropower, agriculture and forestry.
