Abstract
This is a research paper in the contemporary literary criticism, it is entitled (semiology of intellectualism: A reading in Saeed Adnan's literature of essays). The study is a reading in Saeed Adnan's writing of essays, it uses semiology of intellectualism as an approach to reading, the researcher attempts to find out the intellectual modes in the handled texts, which includes two published books, The researcher has studies the intellectualism, its modes, and its outlook, in an abbreviated foreword concerning conceptualizing semiology of intellectualism, its subjects, and four sections including: in the remembrance, identity, authority, and intellectualism.
