الأهمية السياسية والاقتصادية لمدينة ظفر حمير في القرن الأول الميلادي في ضوء نقشين مسنديين جديدين
Abstract
This is an analytical study of two Musnad inscriptions written in the Qatabanian dialect, which were found in the village of Hajar al-ʽAdi in Wadi Harib, where the ancient city of Maryamah is located. Maryamah is one of the most important cities of the Kingdom of Qataban on the old caravan route, linking the northern cities of Qataban and the city of Marib, the capital of Saba. These two inscriptions are of a construction nature, and they reveal that the people of Maryamah city, especially the merchants residing in the cities of Dhafār and al-Raḥabah, had established and built a number of architectural structures located within the wall of Maryamah city.
