Abstract
This study aims to identify the role of Shaqra University in the generation of knowledge, the development of the knowledge society, and the cognitive building of the individual (As per) study sample, Also the study has sought to examine or the differences of statistical significance, if any, in assessing the role of Shaqra University in building of the knowledge society depends on gender, scientific background and the experience. The descriptive method has been used, and a questionnaire has been applied to collect the input data among faculty members of Shaqra University (129). The results of the study have been analysed. The analytical descriptive approach has been used to achieve the objectives of the study. The questionnaire has been applied to a sample of (129) members of the teaching staff at Shaqra University. After statistical analysis of data, the result of the study showed that, That the role of Shaqra University in the development of the knowledge society ranked first, as well as Shaqra University have an important and effective role in the overall development of society, whether social, economic, or cultural, and the existence of differences of statistical significance between the responses of the study sample. The differences in favor of the male sample, as well as the approval of the faculty members and others alike, indicates that preserving the national identity as well as preserving the foundations of society and its constants play have an important role in the development of the knowledge society. The study also reached a number of recommendations, including emphasizing the strengthening of the national identity of individuals in order to build a knowledge society with national competencies and
