Abstract
The great empires of the Ottoman Empire and the Cajarean State and Tsarist Russia sought over three centuries to control the Caucasus region, including Abkhazia because of its strategic location on the Black Sea coasts. These ambitions made Abkhaz land a battleground for two major powers. Russia and the Ottoman Empire ended Russia's control over the Caucasus, The Black Lions were economically and commercially important. During this conflict, the Abkhaz people played an important role in confronting these expansionist attempts to preserve the independence of their governments and their lands. However, the weakness of the Kajari state and the Ottoman Empire in the Caucasus and the lack of cooperation What to face Russia, which has increased the size of its forces in the Caucasus and its continued cooperation with the Christian forces in the Caucasus, especially pro all Georgian Emirates neighboring Abkhazia and Russia, which facilitated the task of control over Abkhazia in 1810 and the elimination of popular resistance to mountain climbers Caucasians in 1864.
