Abstract
In fact, Suicide has many concepts which all confirm intentional murder. Suicide in its comprehensive connotation means intentionally action that led with killing oneself. The study concluded which the phenomenon of suicide exists in all societies and has many reasons, including economic or psychological, or because of the abuse of drugs or alcohol. Suicide many of them are quick-acting or dangerous, such as deadly toxins, including slow as the use of slow poison means in effect or use a sharp machine to cut the artery and bleeding. Suicide has taken a big toll in people, as it has been growing in all governorates of Iraq and in Muthanna province in particular. In 2003, there were zero cases of suicide in 2003 and 2004, while suicide cases in Muthanna governorate reached 10 cases in 2013 and increased to 21 during the period from March 2018 to February 2019. In order to reduce this phenomenon, it is necessary to unite and unite efforts to provide opportunities and strategies for the benefit of the population in the province, especially young people. In addition, effective plans must be put in place to prevent drug and alcohol abuse and to monitor those who have previously attempted suicide.
