Abstract
The research aims to study the actual distribution of recreational services in the city of Samawah so as to know the types of services in terms of area. and the area they occupy to meet the requirements of the city population and number of employees, through the use of both the descriptive approach and analytical methodology have used to analyze the available data for the same above mentioned purpose. In addition use of some geographical means of geographic information systems (GIS). The researcher has found that the city suffers from a lack of most of its recreational facilities, which are not entirely consistent with the size of population due to poor planning and bypassing the space allocated to these services i.e. They are available in neighborhoods and no longer in others.
