Abstract
The thesis deals with educational curricula and its role in promoting national identity and consolidating democratic political behavior in Iraq post-2003. Despite the slight modernization of some curricula, it was not ambitious because it does not enhance the reality of democratic transition, since the majority of curricula are old and not fit the Zeitgeist, in addition to the tools used and laboratory fields, and most importantly the traditional methods that are still practiced in the management of the educational process, which is negatively reflected on strengthening of the national identity and consolidating the democratic behavior.
