Abstract
With a high responsibility, Saud Al-Sanousi is an author of the art of narrative writing. He is aware of the power of writing. He deals with topics of great importance not only in Kuwaiti society but also in the Gulf societies in general. He has the courage to write about the national identity in Kuwait which is the most sensitive subject in that country, but this act of writing has not touched the main concern i.e. the identity of the (Bedoons) and shamefully referred to in his novel (the leg of the bamboo) - the space of this reading - It is an issue of sensitivity where the condemnation is directed to the political authority without other authorities, rather than whether there is a condemnation, but it addresses the issue of identity from the point where the condemnation of the community without political authority to investigate the identity of the sons of Kuwaiti begotten by non-Kuwaitis where the condemnation is directed directly to the social aspect. The Bamboo Leg comes to reflect Identity by which the following points are resulted:
