Abstract
The research dealt with the ice industry in the province of Basra and its geographical distribution and its main environmental effects. This industry was distributed throughout the governorate. The industry is of great importance to the population especially in the summer. It also has many environmental impacts. Of the population of the province on the one hand and have a negative impact on the environment on the other.
