Abstract
The modern critical methods sought to generalize their procedural tools to be valid for reading texts that belong to different walks of life. Perhaps the critical mechanisms that proved their presence in the modern critical arena were presented by the theoreticians of the semantic approach to provide effective tools to enable critics of comprehension. It seems that this study reflects the availability of two requirements required by a successful study i.e. the division and tabulation of the subject (Metn) together with the procedural tools, the Metn is a movie space for a short film in which the director takes the sound aside. This is the film 'Al-Arbanah (carriage) by Iraqi director Hadi Mahood, who produced and directed in 2012, in the Iraqi city of Samawah, The method is the semantic approach for the effectiveness of its tools in such context, and based on its structural constructs, which imposed itself in the selection of the study tools. Accordingly, the title is (Semiotics of the film discourse / Arabanah as a model):The study has concluded the following results.
