التوزيع الجغرافي للنساء الأرامل في محافظة المثنى للسنوات (1997-2017)
Abstract
The research included a study of the geographical distribution of widowed women in Al-Muthanna Governorate for the years (1997-2017), as the phenomenon of widowhood has become a major problem for the residents of the study area. It is noted through the course of the research that the numerical distribution of widows varies from one administrative unit to another, and the most populated areas monopolize this phenomenon, as the relationship is directly proportional between the number of deaths and the number of residents. The more the number of residents in the administrative unit increases, the more the death rates and widowhood rates increase. It was found that the number of widows was large and increased significantly, as the year (1997) recorded, according to the census, about (11,886) widows, while the year (2017) recorded it to rise to (16,652) widows in the study area, distributed over (12) administrative units.
