Abstract
The research addressed the study of noise levels emitted from some human activities in the cities of Nasiriyah and Souq Al-Shuyukh. The activities were industrial and activities emanating from means of transportation and everything related to some crafts practiced by people in the two cities. The research concluded that noise pollution is widespread in many areas of the two cities alike, and industrial activities recorded the highest noise level, especially from the production units of the Nasiriyah power plant and the oil refinery, as the sounds emitted from them exceeded the permissible limits and became a source of noise pollution.
