Abstract
The Kurds have a history full of events and conflicts. They live in a geographically contiguous region in four countries (Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Syria), but they never had an independent country with certain political boundaries. They entered the struggle of the Ottoman and Safavid empires. Then the Ottoman state's conflict with Britain and the Allied countries, which ended with the division of Kurdistan into four sections after the First World War.
