Abstract
Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and may God’s prayers be upon our Master Muhammad and his pure and immaculate family: The research deals with a brief explanation of the concept of repetition among linguists, textualists, and critics, and sheds light on its function in drawing the listener’s attention to the importance of repeated speech, and the purposes for which speech is repeated. The research also shows the importance of repetition in achieving coherence and connection between parts of speech. Then the research goes on to explain the types of repetition that textualists have divided into four sections: repeating the same element, quasi-synonymy, comprehensive word, and general word. Finally, it analyzes models from the Diwan and explains the types of repetition that appear in it; It explains its role in achieving coherence between parts of those texts.
