Abstract
This study dealt with the origin of the Umayyad family and their percentage represented by the personality of the leader of this family, which was attributed to him and the suspicions that were related to his proportion as well as some of the figures that were attached to these proportions. The research dealt with the phenomenon of attaching to the proportions that were governed by ignorance and spread in Islam, the percentage of the Umayyads, especially those that were issued by the Al-Bayt House, peace be upon them, in addition to what is stated in such sources as the history of the messengers and kings of the Tabari and the knowledge of Ibn Qutaiba. The results of what was presented and analyzed are that the Umayyads are not true to Quraysh P does not gather them any association with blood lineage and kinship to Bani Hashim, but were their brothers and sisters have been favoring them to inflict their lineage according to the pre-Islamic custom that prevailed, which spread its roots even in the Islamic era.
