ثقافة الاعتدال وأثرها على المجتمع التعددي المعاصر
Abstract
The study aims to highlight the importance of spreading the culture of moderation and balance, based on Islamic values that do not abolish the diversity of human nature, and the humane view of Islam based on respect for human dignity and rights. In an atmosphere saturated with extremism and fanaticism that have taken hold in society, the talk of excommunication and accusations of apostasy have increased, which we consider a manifestation of intellectual terrorism, as some claim that Islam is limited to what they see and understand, forgetting that a pluralistic society is required to transcend its diversity to reach a common ground that accommodates diversity and does not eliminate it. This is what distinguishes the Islamic religion as a religion of moderation and tolerance, and is confirmed by the noble verses of the Qur’an, examples of which include the Almighty’s saying: {And thus We have made you a just community that you will be witnesses over the people and the Messenger will be a witness over you. And We did not make the Qiblah which you used to face except that We might make evident who would follow the Messenger from among those who disbelieved.} He turns back on his heels, and it is indeed a grave sin except for those whom Allah has guided. And Allah would never let your faith go to waste. Indeed, Allah is to the people Kind and Merciful. Surah Al-Baqarah: Verse 143.
