Abstract

The study aims at detecting climate change on Iraq's biological diversity. Climate change affects the various vital sectors, including biodiversity, which have been highlighted in this study. The evidence of the importance and vitality of this subject and the rationale for its study are of interest to the world, especially the United Nations which is held annually at the World Climate Conferences and the large number of bodies and institutions to study climate change in Iraq One ​​of the most important findings of the study was the existence of climate change, especially during the last two decades in many species of animals and plants and the extinction of some of them and recorded more than (40) species of birds, especially during the last decade of this study, and the extinction of many wild animals, Arab, Asian leopard, Arab ostrich, and extinction of 11 species of wild plants, and a relative change was observed in forested areas in the northern region.
