Abstract
The purpose of this research is to investigate the stress of life and anxiety facing mothers whose children suffer from impairment of hearing (Target ages from 5-12 years). The researcher applied the correlation descriptive method. The sample was intentionally selected and consisted of (40) mothers, the researcher used stress of life scale and Tyler scale of anxiety. For data analysis, the researcher used person coefficient correlation, T-test and one way Anova. The result indicated that the stress of life for the sample was high, except the dimension of concentration and excitement as the result proved low score in this dimension, and the anxiety was low. Also, there were no correlation between stress of life and anxiety for mothers of deaf children except the dimension of concentration and excitement as the result of the existence of positive correlation between the two variables. Moreover, there were no significant differences in the stress of life according to (age – Education level – martial status factors) In conclusion, the researcher proposed some recommendations – the most important of which is: to establish intimate family relations with specialized centres.
